Old Country New Skyis a showing of works in oils, inks and aerosols of the Sydney coastline and its native wildlife. Sydney’s coast becomes a character herself, as do her inhabitants, with the animals as spirits of exuberant life.
The pictures are naive and tactile, they capture the experience of the artist and the transmission of the moment from the hand as a rip chord to the now; the world of the rock pools, the birds and the bush hum with the breath of eternity and the spirit of youth.
